Uncanny w/ Soft as Snow
09.07.26Basel Rihani Invites Soft as Snow who the Berlin-based, Norwegian duo of Oda Starheim and Øystein Monsen. With rough sampling, slippery rhythms and noisy textures, their raw electronic productions are accompanied by Oda’s shapeshifting voice creating a warped-yet-warm physicality. The duo’s latest album was released on genre-agnostic Portland label Beacon Sound and features London MC Brother May (CURL). Their catalogue further includes full-length releases on notable labels such as fabric’s imprint Houndstooth and Infinite Machine, as well as a series of noise-driven impro based work on progressive tape labels.
