The 7Hz Broadcast w/ Krikor
Krikor Kouchian has dedicated the past three decades to exploring electronic music, working across diverse musical traditions and styles. His work has been featured at experimental arts festivals including Mutek, Ars Electronica, and CTM, where he's shared performances that engage with new possibilities in electronic music. His interests have led him beyond traditional music-making. During his 2021 residency at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, he studied experimental forms, which led to a research position at the University of the Arts Kyoto in 2023. There, he examined connections between sound, AI technology, and live performance. He also creates music for documentary films and develops sound installations that combine audio with spatial and visual elements. Through these different mediums, he continues to explore ways that electronic music can interact with other art forms.
