Stamppot is the Dutch version of bubble and squeak – mashed potatoes with some random boiled veg and a (disgusting) sausage. The potatoes provide the base, to which a wide array of condiments can be added. For the show, bass in its diverse forms – drum’n’bass, dub, dub step, grime - is that potato ingredient, to which other ingredients – drone, experimental, noise, etc. – are added. The show’s ambition is to include music from Bristol and beyond, whether that’s Philadelphia, Shanghai or Kampala, with an emphasis on recent and new releases.
